Green Tea Benefits

Diabetes   Tea, especially green tea lixivium, contains hypoglycemic agents like polysaccharide (glucose, gum sugar and ribose), catechin substance and diphenylamin. Vitamin B1 and C in tea also boosts metabolism of blood sugar of human body. A cup of tea daily can reduce the level of blood sugar and protect us from hyperglycemia and diabetes.

Radiation   Radiation exposure, x-ray, working with computer, and radiotherapy, produces free cell agent which may cause DNA change and reduce leucocyte in blood cell. Green tea contains 20 to 35 percent polyphenol which acts as a radiation-resistance agent. From 200,000 atomic bomb survivors, researchers in Japan found that tea drinkers had less radiation sickness and more survival rate than nondrinkers. In a 1959 report they concluded that it was the polyphenol in tea that protected the bones from strontium invading.
