Green Tea Storage

Airtight - Always keep green tea in a sealed container to prevent it from oxidization and moisture. The more moisture tea contains the faster it will be deteriorated from oxidizing.

Cold storage - Always keep green tea in a cool place.

Away from light - Store tea in a dark place since light will turn the color of tea yellow and reduce its aroma.

Away form peculiar smell - Because tea absorbs other flavors and aromas, don't store it near spices, nor in wood and plastic containers, which can impart its own taste. Chinese used to store their green tea in an earthen jar, wrapped with rice paper and weigh down with lime.
